Following the birth of my daughter I am only working part-time

I AM FULLY BOOKED.
I DO HAVE A WAITING LIST.

I charge:
£25 per hour for all sessions including the taster session
£12 per half hour session and £6 for a 15 minute session
Studio mixes: FREE
Any violin/ piano/ singing recorded outside of lessons
£10 per hour (agreed & set in advance)

As from 01/06/07 I will only be working from home.*

Initially I advise clients to book a taster session to see how they get on.

In this session we discuss the client's goals, what type of music they would like to play and enjoy listening to and how much time they can comfortably allocate to practice.
We then discuss what type of program would suit them, one hour sessions or half hour sessions, lessons once per week or once per fortnight.
Lots of clients have sessions on a totally flexible basis to fit in with work and other commitments.

We then do some playing, so if you have some music that you could bring to the session that would be good, otherwise this will be provided for you.

We then agree what needs to be practiced before the next lesson. Sometimes I post music out to clients and I am available either by mobile or by E-mail for any extra support that you need in between lessons.
Some clients also use MSN to chat.

Any extra support I give via telephone, text or E-mail or MSN
in between lessons however is free.

My "Links" page has sites where you can get sheet music &
backing tracks, technical support and other interesting stuff.

My "Support" page has a practise guide, vocal health, advise to performers and technical resources that you can print and use for yourself.

You do not need to pre-book a block of sessions, you can have as many or as few lessons as you want, when you want (subject to availability).

I do not charge cancellation fees. If you can't make a session for whatever reason just ring me or drop me a text or an Email.
You do not need to give 24 hours notice but not turning up without any notice will incur a £5 refundable deposit on all subsequent bookings.
If you are forgetful I can put you on my free text reminder service.

If you are having a lesson and you are not well
PLEASE CANCEL.

Go to my "News" section for details of masterclasses,
client reviews and performances.

I also have a basic mobile recording studio unit so I can record your work on to CD as part of your lesson if you wish.
Clients find this useful to consolidate their skills, if they go wrong they can do a re-take and they are left with a good quality performance that they can play to friends and family.
It also means that if they are a bit worried about performing live they still can get a good record of their performance, although many clients do this in addition to masterclasses and other events.

Also, I have also built "Sheila's Sound Bites"
where we can upload a recording from your lesson
for others to listen to and you can listen to other people's work
too. This is not compulsory but just a bit of fun.

Go to my "Specials" page for special offers on lessons & competitions.

Ring me or E-mail me to set up a taster session.
If you ring and I'm teaching please leave a message on my answer-phone and I'll get back to you.
If you E-mail please include some reference to music in your
title
so I can prioritise your E-mail.
I answer all enquiries.

I look forward to hearing from you

When I eventually return to work after my maternity leave it may be necessary to have my daughter Zoe in on some sessions (not recording sessions!).
It is unlikely that she will disturb your work as she loves people and music but in the unlikely event that she does disrupt your session there will be no charge.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

Learn music the fun way!
